Software License and Privacy Policy

This Software License and Privacy Policy Agreement (the "Agreement") applies to GlowCover VPN, the website at glow-cover.com, and all other online properties and websites owned or operated by GlowCover VPN. This is a legal contract between you (the individual accepting and agreeing to this Agreement) and GlowCover VPN.

We Do Not Identify You

At GlowCover VPN, we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your data. When you use our websites and VPN services, you provide us with some information, which we use to enhance our products, send notifications and updates, troubleshoot, and support our free product through advertising. Our aim is to be transparent about the data we collect, how it is used, and who we share it with. This is why we have created this Privacy Policy. It also explains your rights and options regarding your data, and how to contact us if you have any questions or concerns. Below is a brief overview of our key privacy practices, but we encourage you to read the full policy for further details. If you have any questions about any part of this policy, feel free to reach out to us at [email protected].

Privacy Overview

Our VPN service does not store or log your IP address beyond the duration of your VPN session. Once you disconnect from the VPN, we always delete your IP address.

We do not keep logs of your online activities and do not associate any websites or applications you access while connected to GlowCover VPN with you, your device, or your email address.

Creating an account is completely optional — you are never required to register or provide any contact information to download or use our products. While we de-identify your IP address when connected to the VPN, please note that no VPN provider can control what other apps collect from your device or what cookies other websites or third parties may place in your browser. For more details on managing third-party cookies, please refer to the Third-Party Advertising section below.

Security Overview

When GlowCover VPN is active, we encrypt all traffic between your device and our servers using secure encryption algorithms. Your web traffic is always securely encrypted when connected to the VPN, even on unsecured networks such as public Wi-Fi in places like cafes, airports, etc.

What Does This Privacy Policy Cover?

This Privacy Policy applies to both the free and paid versions of GlowCover VPN, including our mobile and desktop applications, as well as our websites (collectively referred to as the "Services"). The terms “GlowCover VPN,” “We,” “Us,” and “Our” refer to GlowCover VPN and our affiliates and subsidiaries. By using the Services, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy. In addition to this Privacy Policy, your use of the Services is also subject to our Terms of Service.

GlowCover VPN also licenses its technology to third-party partners for integration into their applications. This Privacy Policy may also apply to these partner applications. However, it does not apply to instances where we only process Personal Information on behalf of our partners in the context of third-party partner products. To learn more about how your Personal Information is processed in that case, please refer to the relevant partner's privacy policy.

What Personal Information Do We Collect?

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, "Personal Information" refers to any information relating to an identifiable individual. We collect Personal Information about you from various sources, as described below. Where necessary, we will indicate whether you are required to provide us with your Personal Information and the consequences of not doing so. If you do not provide the requested Personal Information, you may not be able to use certain features of our Services that require this data.

There are two primary categories of Personal Information we collect:

  1. Personal Information You Choose to Provide
  2. Personal Information We Collect Automatically When You Use Our Services

Rest assured, the Personal Information we collect, such as your email, IP address, username, or unique mobile ID, is never linked to any online activities you engage in while using GlowCover VPN. Additionally, when connected to GlowCover VPN, your IP address is stored in an encrypted format for the session’s duration and is deleted once you disconnect from the VPN.

Personal Information You Choose to Provide Us

When you interact with our Services, we collect the Personal Information you voluntarily provide to us. For example, if you subscribe to GlowCover VPN’s premium plans or create an account, you may share your email address and payment details. Remember, creating an account is always optional — we do not require registration or personal information to download or use our products.

If you make a payment using a credit or debit card, your Personal Information will be processed by a third-party payment provider, not by us. Payments made through PayPal, the Apple App Store, or Google Play Store will also be handled by those third parties, and those transactions are subject to their privacy policies, not ours.

If you contact us directly, we may receive additional Personal Information, such as the contents of your messages or any attachments you send when reaching out to customer support.

Personal Information We Collect Automatically When You Use the Services

When you download the GlowCover VPN app, connect to the VPN, or visit our websites, we and our third-party service providers automatically collect certain information about your device or usage. Here’s a more detailed breakdown of the types of Personal Information we gather:

  • Device Information: When you launch the GlowCover VPN app, before connecting to the VPN, we collect device-specific details such as unique mobile ID, hardware model, operating system version, language, and network information.
  • Location Information: While we never log or store your IP address, we may use it to estimate your approximate city-level location.
  • Connection Details: When you connect to GlowCover VPN, we collect your IP address, immediately encrypt it, and store it only for the duration of your VPN session. After disconnecting, your IP address is deleted. We do not associate your IP address with your online activities and do not retain logs of your IP address after disconnection.

We do not link any specific website visits or app usage to an individual user. We do not store logs of your online activities, nor do we associate any domains or applications you visit with you, your device, or your email.

Third-Party Advertising

In short, we use your Personal Information to improve and enhance our products and services. Here are some ways we do this:

  • To operate, maintain, and improve the functionality of the Services.
  • To analyze usage patterns, refine the Services, and develop new products and features.
  • For marketing purposes, including sending promotional messages or optimizing user acquisition campaigns.
  • For internal business purposes, such as audits, security, fraud detection, and prevention.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, we will only process your Personal Information based on a valid legal ground.

How Do We Share Your Personal Information?

We only share your Personal Information as outlined in this Privacy Policy, primarily to provide and improve the Services, facilitate business mergers or sales, or as required by law.

Third-Party Services

This Privacy Policy applies only to the processing of your Personal Information by GlowCover VPN. You may encounter third-party links or integrations within the Services. Please be aware that this Privacy Policy does not cover, and we are not responsible for, the privacy practices of any third-party sites or services linked from the Services.

Security

When GlowCover VPN is active, we ensure all traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted using TLS 1.2 with perfect forward secrecy (ECDHE), 128-bit/256-bit AES encryption, and HMAC message authentication.
